About Me

This is Yen-Chi Chen. I am an assistant professor in the Department of Statistics at the University of Washington. I received my PhD in Statistics at the Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) at 2016 under supervision of Larry Wasserman and Christopher R. Genovese. I was also intenstively involved in the cosmology group led by Shirley Ho at CMU. Before pursuing my PhD, I earned a B.S. in Physics with minor in Mathematics at National Taiwan University, Taiwan.

More details about my research can be found in my webpage: http://faculty.washington.edu/yenchic/

This blog is aimed at providing some intuitive explanations on statistical concepts to my friends, most of whom are scientists, engineers and practitioners though I'm trying to make it as simple as possible for general audience.
